We all wear a mask, the mask that we want to put out to the world when we feel pain, fear, anxiety or weakness. We also switch on different masks according to crowd and different situations. We all want to feel important, accepted and love. I don't know what's your journey, what you are going through right now but each of us has different stories to tell. What kind of mask are you wearing right now? #vulnerability #discoveringyou When we are face with different situations, our reactions on things reflect our wounded childhood. Recently, I get triggered when I encountered these challenging people. It doesn't mean I know myself enough, I'm already excused with life's challenges. I was reacting based on their actions and I found myself defensive and stressed out. When I snapped back to being mindful and conscious, here's some of the things I realised.
1. I'm still carrying the belief of "I need to be protected" so I put the defense mode on. 2. Since I wanted to feel secured and protected, it's an autopilot that my mind and body keeps on fighting for things that aren't important to me than letting go. 3. So the result was I got triggered by these actions - I was pissed off, frustrated and wanted to control the situation. Insecurity, Defensiveness - being guarded all the time are only one of the mask I wear everyday. How can I take off the mask? By letting go. Having an open heart and letting go of the things I can't control everyday helps me to become vulnerable. When I'm vulnerable, I attract people who are genuine and self serving to me. We all come together on the same ground, same purpose and that is to be authentic to each other without judgement, without reasons. Being multi-dimensional means continuously growing your mind, body and soul. Are you a seeker? Are you inquisitive? Do you always question what's happening around you? Do you always see yourself open to learning and discovery? It all starts with having an open heart and an open mind. What we know right now is not enough. What we achieved so far, is not enough. We keep asking for our purpose in life and yet we don't have time to ourselves. We hate it being alone. We don't like quieting our mind. If we can sit for a moment and start with every conscious breath, and listen.. What does your inner self is telling you right now?
