Zen simply means tranquility, calmness, relax and peace. The word is also commonly known in Japan and other sect like Buddhism. I've been away for awhile and my life has change immensely in great ways I cannot imagine. I'm living the dream. #alifefullofgratitude Do you wake up every morning feeling so grateful that you can't ask for more but just say "thank you" every day? Or do you tell yourself you are just dreaming and "tis will be over soon" then fear sets in. Fear that your happiness will be over soon, you don't deserve these things and other negative self talk. Oh humans, we worry even though good things are happening to us. Living in the present is the answer. Look at the wonderful things around you. You may not notice all the things you have like the house you're living in, your friends, your family because we are so busy with the cares of the world. That noise.. I am a total alien now. I don't know what's happening with my friends' life on social media, I'm not updated with anything at all. I only get in touch with few people when I have a chance to look at my phone. I exchanged the convenience of city living to a simple living. I don't know about you, your preferences in life but I escaped the busy city, consumerism, and more. (The highs and lows of city living). Now, I'm looking forward for my morning walks. To encounter such beauty in nature. - who says we need TV and internet to entertain us? :P ;) And everyday is vacation day even though I'm always working. Like every humans, I do negative self talk half of the time. I have lots of "what if this will not work out?" "what if.. " We worry too much with things that are not yet happening nor it's not the truth. We like to make up stories in our head because of fear. Do we let the fear drive our life? Maybe that's why we can't appreciate what we have right now because we are busy of thinking too much. When I turned off my social media, there was a fear of missing out..."what's going on there?". Actually, there's nothing much important. :P :P We have the choice to only select people and things that adds value to us. We have the power to turn off the noises around us and listen to our innermost self where we can find peace and contentment. Living the life of zen is the secret to a life full of gratitude. Namaste :)
