People say it’s nice to meet me I’ve often wonder why I’ve studied my reflections I’ve looked me in the eye But I still can’t draw conclusions I’m still talking out of turn Now I ask too many questions About the lessons I won’t learn. I'm taking time off from the internet, especially social media. As an Emapth (I hate to use the term very often) a sensitive spiritual being would understand that we FEEL TOO MUCH about what's going on right now - uncertainty, fear, chaos, everything!! For months, I keep on recharging from a place of compassion and understanding but it's still not enough until I have to eliminate the sources, which is for me the information of all things - INTERNET. 10 years ago, I've learned that news and whatever drama is on TV affects me greatly, I absorbed the energy that is always out there. So I stopped watching TV. I felt unburdened like a heavy load came off from my back. I didn't miss anything at all. My life did not become less when I eliminated TV and news. In fact, I live a fuller life and focus on the good things around me. I developed a more mature sense of understanding and compassion about the world. With the COVID situation at the moment, how can we navigate self love, self care, compassion and understanding?? #selfawareness It's crazy how people in the US protest about being quarantined and wear masks. They said it's losing their freedom. They are operating in the place of FEAR - fear that they will lose their jobs , uncertain of the future and they don't like the idea of SOMEONE in control of their lives. As humans, we don't like uncomfortable situations, we always like to be IN CONTROL. It scares us not knowing "what it will be.. what will be the outcome".
For those people who are grounded, practicing mindfulness, the difference is WE DON'T REACT on situations. We OBSERVE. We ask questions like "what is it for me??" "how do I feel about this situation?". We always look from within instead of joining the majority. That's why most of these people are STILL. We go with the flow smoothly, we don't go against the current. One of the things that I've learned from yoga over the years is that I always have to move from my inner core. Those people who are into fitness, they use a lot of strength, hence not avoiding being injured. If we learn how to navigate within, we will always choose what's best for us. As humans, we always want to take the shortcut, to get instant results that's why we keep repeating bad habits. Right now instead of asking ourselves, "what do we have to do??" as part of crisis management team for the world, all of us are only thinking of SURVIVAL which is a human nature. We all want to survive and get over it so we can go back to our lives. But our selfish human minds make it harder, longer and worst and we dump this energy into the world - news, social media, and everytime our mouth opens...there you go. I hope that we become conscious of our every actions. We can attain it by doing our inner works - self reflections, personal development and spiritual growth. So we can all break the habit of dumping negative energy, more of RUBBISH that we don't need to accumulate as we go in this journey called LIFE. Do you want to break the habit ? We have to start from within.
