Why do we worry so much about dating when we are already settled? Do we get pressured by the question "why are you still single?" when it's our choice. I used to have a hard time explaining it but now I simply say "it's my choice". - A very strong affirmative word "I've made my decision, I am sure that it's what I want". We don't need to explain to everyone what makes us happy . We owe it to ourselves to make decisions wisely, to choose the things that matters to us the most. Humans has different needs and some, we call it priorities, the most valuable thing in our lives. Are you still stressed out being single? This one's for you. I recently came across an article from Refinery, this woman is on fire about being single. After reading her article, I felt empowered and proud of living my life independently. It reminded me of freedom and the excitement building new life after a narcissistic abuse. Do you embrace your singledom? I call it my Queendom. Here are the perks of being single and why it's the most exciting time of our life. Freedom. Yep, obviously. I can splurge all the money to myself. Hahaha! From food, shopping, recreation to expensive duvet and furniture that brings me comfort to my home. There's nothing more fascinating than taking care of no other than yourself. Just being yourself 24/7. I can binge watch on a Saturday night with my pajamas, a pop corn or a bottle of wine and my no wash, messy hair. Not expecting anyone to disturb my ME time. Building my Queendom is not all about glamour. It's build from sweat, bruises and sun burn but it's what makes my life exciting. Do you need to replace your shower head but you don't know and there's no one around to help? Have you tried to put up a DIY wall mirrors and hammered you thumb? Ouch. First time doing gardening? I killed 60 plants in total for the last 6 months and bruised myself repeatedly and I don't care. Best of all about being single? A life full of Bliss. I am truly grateful to call something home. Knowing that life is full of surprises and you have to get on that journey and create meaningful experience are the things that matters not the destination. That you are ENOUGH.
