The journey to self discovery is indeed a long, winding road for me. People who had the fair share of self sabotage and toxic relationships - family, friends, loved ones - thinking that they are alone, crazy or it's just "imaginary" making their own dramas. You are not alone. We are all on an imbalance state. No one is born to be mind, body and soul healthy. We have to know these parts and it's a continuous process to self worth . #mentalhealth #selflove I was walking on eggshells all my life. I'm always a people pleaser, the giver and the one who accepts the highs and lows, roller coaster ride, the crumbs of those who surrounds me. Until LIFE taught me a lesson, a wide awakening to my sleeping subconscious state. I am a Codependent. I have Codependency issues and specifically a SLD - Self Love Deficit. I was not aware of these things until I encountered my narcissists and wasted half of my life. The painful journey was I had to leave my narcissist and start looking within the holes that I've been doing a "band aid" solution. There are professional therapists and people out there who helped me with my journey and continue recovery. There's so much to talk about Narcissism and Codependency, Toxic Relationships, Boundaries and Self Worth that I can't cover in just one blog post. I'm going to share more materials and resources.
Michelle Chelfant - The Adult Chair - I discovered healing my wounded child and learned how to observe my feelings and be "mindful". https://michellechalfant.com/the-adult-chair-podcast/ Savannah Grey - Esteemology.com - I was totally in an excruciating pain, baffled and shook the reality out of me. I came to know that what happened to me was not normal. People around me tells me "it's part of the relationship", "you have to stick with it lass, it's what relationship is all about". Savannah did confirm that I'm not alone and I'm not crazy. https://esteemology.com/the-different-faces-of-narcissism-types-and-sub-types/ And more therapists and relationship coach that I keep educating myself, adding to my personal growth and self care. Ross Rosenberg and Darlene Lancer, psychotherapists specialising codependency and narcissism. Amy Young, life coach on relationships, career and personal development. The road to living authentically begins to everyone of us when we start to look from within.
