I have been doing NOTHING for 7 days. Yes 7 straight days! Humans are creature of habits. When we lose the cycle of our habits, we feel so out of balance, we freak out and we obsessively think about it - to control the situations. "Relax, the universe will not collapse if you haven't done anything today" - someone told me. At that time, I felt useless. I wasted a day of doing nothing. I didn't know that I will learn some lessons while doing NOTHING. Here are the things I learned in the past few days. 1. I stop thinking. I stopped thinking about what I'm going to do next, what I will do tomorrow. My mind was in a very relax state like I have all the time in the world. I didn't look at the clock, thinking what am I supposed to be doing at this moment? I fully appreciate every actions. I felt everything so loud and clear. 2. I stop worrying. I stopped worrying about all the task list in my head that needs to get done, of working in general. "Will they get mad at me? How many people are looking for me? Will my life online diminish when I'm not active for 7 days?" The answer is - nothing has change. I was able to enjoy my life outside the online works. I've created meaningful days out of the internet. 3. I let go. From the moment I wake up, I didn't run any mental checklist for today. I let the universe takes its natural course, living in the present. I accepted and received the day as it is. I became more grateful that I was able to stay still, not controlling the day thus far. When we can control situations and things, we feel powerful (I don't know about you but maybe it's just me). We always want to know what lies ahead so we can prepare for it. But we hold our true power when we are able to stay in our center no matter what the world throws at us.
Are you in love with control? Do you feel that the universe is always with you or against you? Namaste! 🙏
