Do you draw a line between you and toxic people that you meet? Do you warn them not to cross the line? What do you mean, where is the line? It's called putting a boundary, a distance between people and situation in our lives. We think of boundaries as an imaginary line that separate us from people. When you are in crowded lift, it's normal to touch shoulders or worst close body contact with strangers. For others, they are aware of "invading my personal space." And being in a crowded close space makes these types of people uncomfortable and claustrophobic. You are invading someone else's 3 feet distance rule. #setlimits #boundaries When we meet someone for the first time or when we are dealing with people we don't know, we don't open our doors to them right away. We don't open up easily, share personal things until we are comfortable and feel that they are safe. Do you? When you are not aware of these things, you are attracting invaders - push overs. They don't understand that NO means no. Unfortunately, your actions is telling them "it's okay to violate me." When you are carrying that vibe, you are letting them in. Your energy (the negative vibrations), gravitate towards toxicity. What's the connection of my energy to how I deal with people in my everyday life? The elephant journal explains that "The homes we live in and the spaces we occupy are a reflection of our personal boundaries". This is how a healthy person with define boundaries looks like: We have to know what we can tolerate and what we don't tolerate, also putting frequencies - "I can only tolerate this much". My old self didn't know these things before. I used to be a people pleaser and sought the attention of others. I would say YES to everything even though it's already abusive. Now, I don't even want someone to touch my shoulders or closing my space gap without a warning. It's not about building walls or being overprotective with yourself. It's about YOU defining the terms to the world - "I only accept this". Do you constantly let others use you and abuse you? Why? How much do you love yourself?
